This page describes Humbleaf MCP: the guarded agent authority interface on the AgentChain API gateway (POST /mcp, mandate bearer acmd_…). It is not the same product as:

Status (HMCP-1)

  • Pilot provider: fixture / simulated dispatch only (decision D3). No Instantly reply adapter in the current sprint build.
  • Do not point production outreach at live provider env until operator runbook promotion gates pass.
  • Operator procedures and bypass inventory live in the repo (not duplicated here): docs/proposals/OctMCP/hmcp-operator-runbook.md and docs/proposals/OctMCP/hmcp-coverage-statement.md.

What agents can do (when enabled)

  • Authenticate with an operator-issued agent mandate (acmd_…), not a discovery grant (acdg_…).
  • Discover and describe the route email.thread_reply.guard.v1, read scoped inbox threads, propose a frozen reply, poll status, execute after console approval, and fetch receipts — subject to mandate caps and workspace isolation.
  • Chat or host “approve” text is not approval; a human session on console.agentchain.cloud decides.

Enablement (operators)

Gateway flag HUMBLEAF_MCP_ENABLED=true (exact string). Staging pilot also requires evidence persistence and HUMBLEAF_EMAIL_REPLY_PROVIDER=fixture for safe acceptance. Secrets (AP_SNAPSHOT_SIGNING_KEY, executor tokens, mandate bearers) stay in deployment env — never in this docs site.

Endpoint

Pilot deployments use the discovery staging host unless otherwise decided (see construction plan §11). Path: /mcp, Streamable HTTP, Authorization: Bearer acmd_…. For local harnesses, see scripts/dev/hmcp-grokbot/ in the monorepo.
